Besides the ergonomic benefits and direct fun factor of the Strida, I love the way it bridges generations. I’m a middle-aged woman and there aren't many occasions when a 12-year-old boy will say to me, "Wow - cool!" I get that a lot on my Strida, and have had some really neat conversations when I offer a test ride. The skateboarders in the town square might be intimidating to some women my age, but they all smile and wave at me. My Kickbike is the only other thing I can think of that gives that kind of opening (since I don't own a car, I can have a veritable fleet of the most fun human-powered vehicles available and still not spend as much as most car owners spend even on insurance).
